Slinding surprise:-Among all the

Andriod freenzy, the Txt pro from

Sony Ericsson  comes as a

pleasant surprise.No, this is not an

Andriod phone, but  a complete fea

ture phone with a touch and

QWERTY interface created for the

masses.The Txt Pro is a slider

phone with a stocky form factor.


The front panel comprises a 3.0-

inch capacitive touchscreen and

below it is the home key just as we

saw in the Mini but sans the

metallic highlight around it.If you are

 not on the homescreen, a single

press on the Home key brings you

to the Menu and the second one

takes you back Home.

The QWERTY keypad slides out

from the left and has square,

island-like keys.We would have

loved to have direction keys here to

make navigation easier. The left

spine has a valume rocker and

camera key while the 3.5 mm jack

and USB port are placed at the top.

Familiar interface:-No. the Txt Pro

does not run on Andriod, but that

has not stopped Sony Ericssion

from giving it an Andriod-like

interface.
The Menu is spaced out on three

panels which can be accessed by

swiping sideways.



The multimidea dimension:-The
phone comes with a music player
and FM radio. The music player
comes with sound enhancement
features like equalizers and sound
enhancement features.
Sony Ericssion trademark PlayNow and
Track ID apps are preloaded on the
phone.
The phone comes with a 3.0-megapixel fixed focus camera
but no flash.You can toggle between
still and video modes and access
the gallery but that is that. The
picture quality is nothing to rave
about and the lack of flash makes it
a no-go in low light conditions.It
also shoots QVGA videos at 15
frames per second and there is a
dedicated video player on the phone.
The phone comes with 100 MB
internal memory which can be
expanded up to 32GB. On the
downside,the microSD card slot in
under the battery cover so you
cannot hot swap it.

Pro is priced at Rs 7,400.If you
need a touch and QWERTY phone
in this price range, you can
consider Samsung Wave 533,
which is pegged at Rs .
